I can’t ignore my parents because of politics – Dr. Zanetor Rawlings Dr. Zanetor Rawlings NDC parliamentary aspirant for the Korle Klottey constituency in Accra says she cannot ignore her parents in her bid to become Member of Parliament for the area. According to her, her parents and their political history have been part of her growth and she therefore cannot distance herself from them only because she is getting into active politics. The daughter of Former President Jerry John Rawlings said these in reaction to claims that her parents political history may play to her disadvantage in the November 7 polls of the ruling party. Speaking to Accra-based Radio, Kasapa FM last Friday, Dr. Rawlings said people must get used to the fact that her parents are always going to be part of her life and engagements. The others contesting with Dr. Ezanetor are the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the Klottey Klorley constituency Hon. Nii Armah Ashiettey Nii John Coleman, Leeford Quashie, Samuel Kwaku. Meanwhile, the Klottey Korle MP said he is working assiduously to win the 2016 parliamentary elections in a big way, as well as increase the presidential votes for President John Dramani Mahama. The ruling party will go to the polls on November 7 to elect its presidential and parliamentary candidates. GBC/Starr News
