PURC inspects work on Karpowership power project The Management of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission, PURC, has paid a working visit to the Karpowership Power Project to see at first hand, progress of work at the Tema Port. Briefing the team, the Regional Coordinator of the Karpowership Power Project said the 225 Mega Watts Project at the cost of one point two billion dollars is expected to minimise the load shedding exercise with the vessel power venture. He said the Karpowership Company which begun in June, this year, has already completed the construction of two Jetties and six Bollards, where the ship will anchor. However, the Perimeter of the fencing is the only work left before the power vessel arrives next month. The Chairman of the PURC, Dr Emmanuel Annang, said the project when complete will be of immense help in reducing the load shedding exercise. GBC
