Government determined to make education pivot of development

Deputy Minister-in-Charge of Pre-Tertiary Education, Alex Kyeremeh says quality of education,  enrolment and access to Junior and Senior High Schools across the country is bound to improve with the launch of the progressively free Secondary education by President Mahama. 

In an interview with Agatha Asamoah on Radio Ghana’s “Behind the News”, Mr Kyeremeh said government is determined to make education the pivot of development.

For his part, National Treasurer of the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition, Clement Odua-Mensah said whilst the move by government is commendable, absorbing the fees of all day students leaving those in boarding schools amounts to discrimination, and called on government to extend the same reliefs to boarding students as soon as possible.
