GSS to conduct second phase of survey on businesses

The Ghana Statistical Service will embark on the second phase of the Integrated Business Establishment Survey, IBES, from November, this year to collate detailed information on business establishments. 

The purpose of the Phase two is to provide reliable, timely and relevant economic statistics to support the formulation and implementation of policies and strategies that can stimulate the growth of all sectors of the economy. 

The Coordinator of IBES, Anthony Krakah said the first phase was limited to only four sectors of the economy but the second will cover all sectors. 

He was speaking at a stakeholder’s forum in Accra.
