21st & 24th September 2015 Declared Public Holidays The Ministry of Interior has declared Monday, September 21 and Thursday, September 24 public holidays. Monday, September 21 is Founders Day. It is a day set aside to observe the birthday of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, whiles September 24 marks this year’s Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Adha is an Islamic festival observed by Muslims across the world. A statement issued by the Interior Ministry said the days are statutory holidays and thus asked Ghanaians to observe it as such. GBC
