Police secures injunction against ‘Let My Vote Count’ The Accra Regional Police command has secured a court injunction against a pressure group, ‘Let My Vote Count’ from picketing the Electoral Commission and Parliament House tomorrow. The organisers had intended to mobilise about two thousand people to demonstrate as part of efforts to mount pressure on the EC to compile a new Voters' Register ahead of the 2016 elections. But the police say the two places are security zones and are not open to any form of public manifestations and rather proposed alternative routes to the organisers. But the organisers rejected the police directives and vowed to defy it. GBC
