Tension mounts in NDC Ho East over primary Tension is mounting in the Ho East Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Agotime-Ziope District over the impending parliamentary primary. This has arisen out of an alleged violation of a convention to alternate the two core positions of Member of Parliament and District Chief Executive between Agotime and Ziope. At a news conference, elders and youth of Ziope alleged that two prospective candidates from Agotime have filed nominations to contest the parliamentary primary against the convention which currently stipulates that a contestant from Ziope is given the nod. They described the action of the two as a betrayal of the convention and have therefore urged the leadership of the NDC to prevail on the people of Agotime to respect the convention for the sake of peace in the District to further consolidate the gains of the Party in the constituency.
