Political Scientist says suspension of NPP National Chairman could adversely affect party in 2016 general elections A Political Scientist, Dr Alidu Seidu, says it will not be in the interest of the NPP to suspend National Chairman Paul Afoko. In an interview with Radio Ghana, Dr Seidu said the move could adversely affect the chances of the party in the 2016 elections, especially in the Northern Regions. Meanwhile, Former General Secretary of the NPP, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, says it is high time executives of the party put the bickering and in-fighting that have characterised activities of the party behind them and focus on winning the 2016 elections. Speaking to Radio Ghana in reaction to plans by the NEC and Council of elders of the party to suspend National Chairman Paul Afoko, Mr Owusu Afriyie said he does not believe Mr Afoko will be eventually suspended.
