Minister Of Education Visits Schools In Northern Region On My First Day At School

Today marks another first day at school throughout the country. The day has been instituted to whip up the interest of children to go school. 

The Minister of Education, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang is in Tamale to observe My First Day at School in the Northern Region. 

She visited Kamina Barracks Barwa Barracks, Dainshelli and Choggu primary schools. 

During her visit, the Education Minister interacted with some of the pupils. 

Some of the children were coming to school for the first time. 

Meanwhile, in the Ga South Municipality, the Public Affairs Officer, Elliot Adom said the pupils, teachers and parents were in high spirit because the Municipal Chief Executive, Jerry Acquaye Thompson, distributed exercise books, pencils and biscuits to the children. 

At La Bawaleshie A LC schools, the pupils were seen busily cleaning the schools compound while others were playing football and other games.
