The Daily Graphic urges President Mahama and his Nigerian Muhammadu Buhari to leave a legacy for other African countries to follow. According to the Paper, moves by the two presidents to tackle corruption are highly commendable. Another area where the paper wants both leaders to look has to do with Boko-Haram and security in both countries. Also trade among Ghana and Nigeria must be promoted to further enhance economic development between the two countries. 

The Ghanaian Times takes a look at small scale and illegal mining in Ghana. According to the Paper, the act which dates back into history is a fact no one can doubt. The Paper says despite the fact that the industry contributes significantly to the economy by serving as a major employer of rural labour force, it has had very negative effect on the environment. 

The Daily Heritage takes issue with the NPP on how it is handling internal wrangling within the party. The Paper believes a party with such divisions is only heading for failure. It cautions the key actors in the party to ceasefire and swallow their pride, since it is failing in it duty to provide an effective opposition to government.
