Conversion Of Polytechnics Into Universities Takes Off In 2016 – Minister

Conversion of Polytechnics into Technical Universities will be operational in September next year. 

Some five Polytechnics have been selected to begin the conversion. 

The Minister of Education, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang announced this at a meeting with a German delegation in Accra. 

She said the Conversion will make Polytechnic education more relevant to the economy and give the youth especially, options for skills. 

This, Professor Jane Opoku Agyemang said will ensure better placement on the job market.
