Teye Nyaunu seeks a return into NDC Mr Michael Teye Nyaunu the prodigal son of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is seeking to return to the party with the aim of recapturing the Lower Manya Krobo parliamentary seat which he lost in the 2012 general elections as an independent candidate. Mr Nyaunu also known as MTN, believes he can spearhead the process to repair the broken relationship between the NDC and former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings. He forfeited his membership of the National Democratic Congress to contest as an independent parliamentary candidate in the 2012 elections. The former Lower Manya Krobo MP, Teye Nyaunu came under intense scrutiny from top officials of the NDC for among other actions, endorsing the candidature of Mrs Rawlings when she broke away from the party to form the NDP. However, the former legislator has a change of mind and wants to become the NDC’s parliamentary candidate in his area. Mr. Nyaunu however, says he is yet to be cleared by the party’s National Executive Committee to pick forms. According to him, the committee is taking a decision on whether or not he can still be considered a party member. GBC
