Newly installed Achimota Queen pledges to prioritize education

The Queen mother of Achimota, Naa Ayikailey Adzoobo has underscored the need to prioritize education to enhance growth. 

She said as a building block in facilitating development in any society, its significance cannot be over emphasized. 

Naa Ayikailey Adzoobo said this during her installation at Achimota in Accra. 

She said since Achimota School falls within her jurisdiction, she and her elders will consult with the school authorities to have a quota for children of inhabitants into the school. 

The Queen mother also lamented the poor sanitation bedeviling the area and said if the situation is not checked it will affect productivity. 

The Queen mother pledged to contribute to the development of the area and called on the inhabitants to rally behind city and traditional authorities to achieve this.
