Power Minister directs 30 megawatts reduction of load shed in industrial sector

The Minister of Power, Dr. Kwabena Donkor, has directed the Load Management Committee to reduce the load being shed currently for the industrial sector from 130 to 100 megawatts with immediate effect.  

A statement issued in Accra today, and signed by the Head  of Public Affairs, Kweku Sersah-Johnson attributed the 30 Megawatts reduction in the load shed for industry to an improvement in the electricity supply situation.  

The statement said the Ministry is keeping a close eye on developments in the generation, distribution and supply of electricity and will announce further changes as and when necessary.
