Voting in District Elections Is a Civic Responsibility - Veep Amissah Arthur Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has called on Ghanaians to show enthusiasm in the district level electoral processes and turn out in their numbers to vote for their preferred candidates. He said the lukewarm attitude towards the District and Unit Committee election hampers local governance. Vice President Amissah-Arthur made the call when he cast his ballot at the Accra High Senior High School here in Accra. The Accra Senior High School polling centre is one of the 17 centres in the Klottey-Korley Sub-Metro. It is noted for low voter turn out. Today's district level and unit committee election is no exception. As at 10:40 this morning, eight out of the more than 400 registered voters had cast their ballot including the Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur. He used the occasion to remind Ghanaians that it is a civic duty for them to fully participate in such exercises. Some of the aspirants were around to monitor the exercise. GBC
