Immediate Past DCE Edward Nti Berko is dead The Immediate Past District Chief Executive for Bosomtwe in the Ashanti region, Edward Nti Berko, is dead. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Saint Michael’s Catholic Hospital at Pramso at about 11 pm last Monday. The Bosomtwe Constituency NDC Chairman, Emmanuel Anokye Degraft who disclosed this to Radio Ghana, said Mr. Nti Berko collapsed while watching television with the family at their residence at Esereso and was rushed to the Hospital where he was pronounced clinically dead. The body has since been sent to the morgue of the same hospital for preservation. Until has appointment as the Bosomtwe District Chief Executive, Mr. Nti Berko served as the Kumasi Metropolitan, and Western Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE. The NDC Constituency Chairman described the sudden death of the former DCE as a great shock to the party, saying that his demise has created a vacuum in the affairs of the party. Mr. Degraft said Mr. Nti Berko made significant contributions to both the NDC in the Constituency and the socio-economic development of the entire district during his tenure. The late former DCE is survived by a wife, Grace Owusu Dankwah and four children. GBC
