Parents warned against pushing children into early marriage

Parents who push their children into early marriage will hence forth be prosecuted. 

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection is championing the cause as part of activities to celebrate National Children's Day.  

The law states that it is criminal for parents to push their children into early marriage for either financial or any purpose. 

Head of Research and Acting Head of Department of the Ministry, Sylvester Kyi-Gyamfi made this known to Radio Ghana.
