AMA reacts to decongestion exercise in Accra The AMA Chief Executive, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije says decongestion of the city is being done in collaboration with stakeholders including petty traders and store operators who are now happy about how brisk they can move about in Accra. He told Radio Ghana it is the will of the people to obey law and order and observe good sanitation practices in the city. On desilting of the Odaw River and work on other flood prone areas before the minor rains set in, Mr Vanderpuije said the exercise is a continuous process because the AMA has vowed never to allow the June 3 incident to repeat itself.
