Ghana’s Parliament spokesperson Jones Kugblenu is dead


The Director of Public Affairs at Parliament Jones Kugblenu is dead.

He died Tuesday dawn in the United Kingdom.

Confirming the death of Mr. Kugblenu, Mr Andrew Edwin Arthur, Dean of the Parliamentary Press Corps says he has been ill for some time and was seeking medical attention in UK.

Mr. Edwin Arthur said this in an interview with a local FM Radio, in Accra. 

According to Mr. Edwin Arthur his death came as a big blow to Ghana's parliamentary corps.

The late Jones Kugblenu was in charge of Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana’s  Parliamentary Service, he coordinates Media and Public Relations work of the lawmaking body, involving the maintenance of continuous liaison with the media, governmental organisations and civil society organisations.

The outfit also deals with matters concerning the Press Gallery.

The late Jones Kugblenu also worked with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).
