Rains cut off portions of Zabzugu-Tatale road in Northern Region A portion of the Zabzugu-Tatale road in the Northern Region has been cut off from the rest of the Region by floods. This follows heavy rains over the past two weeks. Socio-economic activities in the area have also been brought to a standstill as residents are unable to travel to engage in economic activities. In an interview, the Tatale-Sanguli, District Chief Executive, Nicholas Waake confirmed this, adding that Tatale, Gnani, and Zabzugu are among the most affected areas. He said some farms have also been destroyed by the floods. According to Mr Waake, the road has been awarded on contract and work is expected to start soon. GBC
