Slavery Remembered

Although the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade was abolished years ago, the agony, humiliation and horror of the infamous trade cannot be forgotten. The world on August 23 commemorated UNESCO's special day for the remembrance of slave trade and its abolition. Radio Ghana's Central Regional correspondent Kinsley Nana Boadu recounts the suffering and effects of slave trade on the African continent and Ghana in particular, with a call for the renewal of minds, first as individuals and as a people for national development.
