Police arrests UCC Principal Research Assistant for extortion

A Principal Research Assistant at the Department of Basic Education University of Cape Coast, George Benneh Mensah, has been arrested by the Police for allegedly extorting money from unsuspecting students who have enrolled on an online Education Programme. 

The online programme is said to be under the University of Swiss Management Centre which is an affiliate of the University of Canton Zug Switzerland. 

The official admission letter indicate that the university has offices located at the College of Distance Education UCC and its faculty members under the university include Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor George Benneh, the provost of distance education, Professor George Oduro, Dr Fifi Mensah and Dr Peter Aglobitse.
