NCPD, stakeholders discuss draft Accessibility Standards for Public buildings The National Council on Persons with Disability, NCPD and other stakeholders are discussing a Draft Accessibility Standards for Public buildings. The draft, when it becomes law will complement the Disability Act to make sure all public buildings become disability friendly and conform to standards. At a forum to solicit inputs into the draft bill, a Director of Works at the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing, John Tettey said when it becomes a law, old public buildings will be refurbished to make them friendly to people with disabilities.
