African Youth charged to use social media to promote Africa

The Secretary General of the UN World Tourism Organisation, Dr Taleb Rifai has asked the youth to use social media to promote positive stories about Africa. 

He said the International Community have for a long time tagged Africa with negative stories which continue to make the continent look black to many people. 

Africa has always been seen as a continent of only poverty, disease and conflicts. 

Dr Rifai was speaking on the sidelines of a three day conference in Accra on how to brand Africa. 

Dr Rifai said the youth should look out for amazing tourist sites and all the good things that Africa has to offer and show them to the International Community.
