Government presents new conditions of service to GMA Labour Minister Haruna Iddrisu has revealed that government has presented new conditions of service proposal to the striking members of the Ghana Medical Association. According to him, it is the view of government that, the new terms will be favourable to the two parties involved in the negotiations. Haruna Iddrisu also dismissed rumours that negotiations have broken down between the parties. He stated that government has given the GMA comprehensive response item by item to every request made. Mr. Iddrisu again appealed to the doctors to call off the strike and return to the consulting rooms. Meanwhile, the Deputy General Secretary of the GMA, Dr. Justice Yankson, said the GMA is always willing to go back to the negotiation table. He said what the GMA will not accept is for government to persuade them to go to work and forget about their proposals. GBC
