Doctors Rescind Decision To Resign En Masse But Vow To Continue Strike Members of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), have failed to carry out their threat of resigning en-mass and have rather decided to continue with their strike. At a crucial meeting in Accra today which lasted for three hours, the doctors voted to remain on strike, and to review their decision in two weeks if their conditions of service are not drawn up. Doctors at public health institutions have for the past two weeks abandoned the wards and withdrawn all emergency services over better conditions of service. Per what they called as a road map, the doctors were to start withdrawing all services from today to pave the way for their mass resignation, but , government earlier today met the leadership of the doctors and some progress was made, and the expectation was that, the doctors were going to call off their strike.
