Government pushes for Minerals Revenue Management Act

A Deputy Minister of Finance, Mrs Mona Quartey, has expressed government’s commitment to ensuring that revenue from the extractive sector is utilised with accountability being the guiding principle.

She has therefore called for a Minerals Revenue Management Act to ensure a more efficient management and use of revenues from the mining industry. 

Mrs Quartey was speaking at a workshop for members of some Select Committee of Parliament in Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
