Government agrees to pay book, research allowances to striking lecturers

The PRO of the Ministry of Education, Francis Gbadago, says the Ministry of Finance has given clearance for the book and research allowances to be paid to University lecturers. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr Gbadago says it is now the responsibility of UTAG to complete their claims for payment. 

He appealed to the leadership of UTAG to call off their strike and return to the lecture halls.
