Elimination of Mother-To-Child Transmission of HIV yields positive result The prevention of Mother to Child transmission of HIV and Keeping Mothers Alive Campaign which has been spearheaded by the first lady Mrs Lordina Mahama has yielded positive result as beneficiaries have success stories to tell. At a health screening for more than four hundred girls and women from various communities in Accra, the beneficiaries said knowing their HIV status as well as education on reproduction healthcare has afforded them the opportunity to know what to do when they are diagnosed with any disease, especially HIV/AIDS. Mrs Mahama was happy about the success stories and pledged to continue with the outreach. Yvonne Atilego reports. GBC
