The Daily Graphic appeals to government and all other stakeholders to be proactive in managing the bird flu outbreak. The Paper is worried about the level of education provided to the public on what the situation is and steps taken to comprehensively address the outbreak. It thinks it is time government takes up the issue of bird flu and the threat it poses to the poultry industry, especially as poultry farmers and their families depend on this to feed themselves. To the Graphic, any delay in addressing the bird flu outbreak puts a lot of pressure on farmers and their families. It wonders why government has still not implemented recommendations for some sort of package for the poultry industry as agreed by Parliament. The Graphic appeals to government to take up the concerns of the poultry farmers and as a matter of urgency, allocate some funds to handle the issue and lessen the fears of the public to save the beleaguered poultry industry. 

The Ghanaians Times advises government to charge all its envoys abroad to endeavour to reach out to the diaspora, to harness all available resources to aid the nation's development. The Times says every Ghanaian living abroad has some love for the nation and is committed to assisting the nation, not only through remittances, but any other means available. The Paper therefore commends the move by Ghana's new Ambassador to the United Nations Martha Pobee to reach out to Ghanaian Diaspora abroad, and rope them in to play roles in the nation's development. The Times stresses that Ghana needs assistance from all areas and what comes from people abroad should be greatly appreciated. 

Today Newspaper urges government and the Ghana Medical Association to bury their pride and allow cool heads to prevail in reaching a compromise for the sake of the citizens. The paper says it is vital that an agreement is reached as any life lost during this period cannot be brought back. The Today also asks social commentators to desist from making comments that have the tendency of stalling the negotiation process. It says comments like “Call off the strike or resign”, and “Don't pay the doctors” among others will not help in the search for a mutual ground.
