Government To Implement June 3 Flood And Fire Disaster Report

Government says it will implement to the letter, recommendations contained in a report submitted by the Justice Isaac Douse's committee on the June 3 flood and fire disaster. 

Government set up the committee to look into the cause of the fire and make recommendations to prevent such disasters in the future. About 154 people died following the flood and fire disaster at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle. 

The committee presented the report to the Minister for the Interior, Mark Woyongo in Accra. 

The Minister commended the committee for a thorough job, despite having only one month to carry out investigations. He promised that the report would be forwarded to the President.
