Ghanaians urged to pray for Leaders The wife of the Vice President, Mrs Matilda Amissah Arthur says those called to steer the affairs of this country can only do so with the welfare of the people at heart if the church prays for the leadership. Speaking as Guest of honour at the 2015 synod of the Global Evangelical Church in Accra, Mrs Amissah Arthur said continuous intercession by the church for the country has no doubt delivered Ghana from unimaginable disasters and diseases. She added that government acknowledges the contributions made by churches to establish third cycle institutions. It is in this regard that government despite the current economic constraints continues to support institutions such as the Global Evangelical Church in its quest to transform Ghana. GBC
