Police intercepts water tanker filled with Indian hemp

The Police in the Ashanti region have intercepted a water tanker with large quantity of dry leaves believed to be Indian hemp concealed in it.

Two people have also been arrested and are currently in the custody of the Kumasi Central Police helping with investigations. 

The suspected narcotic substance was being transported from Kwame Danso in the Brong Ahafo region. 

Correspondent Nicholas Osei-Wusu says the Police personnel who effected the arrest are said to have been offered a ten thousand Ghana Cedi (GH¢10,000) bribe by the suspects.
