Court remands three for defilement

Two welder apprentices, William Geh and Edze Reuben are before an Accra Circuit Court for defiling an eleven year old girl. 

Two who are both eighteen years took turns to defile the victim twice after tying her hands and legs with a rope. 

They have been remanded into custody by the court presided over by Aboagye Tandoh. 

The victim is a class three pupil who resides at Oyibi in Accra. 

The two accused persons are also apprentices at a welding shop situated at Oyibi. 

Early last month, the accused persons lured the victim into a bush close to their shop and forcibly defiled her. 

Later in the same month, the victim was returning from an errand around 6 pm when the accused persons once again lured her into their shop and again forcibly defiled her. 

She bled but William and Reuben left the victim to her fate until she was rescued by the uncle who had gone in search of her after she failed to return from the errand. 

In a related development, the court also remanded a 35 year old Nigerian, Promise Chimoa for defiling his 12 year old house help at Anyaa also in Accra. 

Promise allegedly admitted the offence and attributed it to the devil.
