First phase of Kwame Nkrumah flyover completed

The first phase of the Kwame Nkrumah flyover which commenced in October 2013, has been completed. 

The construction work comes in two phases, the Nsawam flyover which has been completed and the Akasanoma flyover which is expected to be completed by June next year. 

It is anticipated that about 84 thousand vehicles will ply the road in a day which links major road networks that connect the sub-urban areas of Accra to the central business district. 

According to the Chief Resident Engineer, Kweku Diafo the first phase will be opened to the public on Friday.
