GRA Inaugurates Taskforce To Clamp Down On Tax Evaders

The Ghana Revenue Authority has inaugurated a forty-member Special Revenue Taskforce to mobilise revenue from defaulting taxpayers and also bring in taxpayers outside the tax net. 

The taskforce will among other things ensure tax compliance. 

Speaking at the launch, the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, George Blankson, said the move forms part of efforts to optimize revenue mobilisation. 

He said the task force is aimed at getting recalcitrant taxpayers to comply with the tax laws.
