National Sanitation Day to receive legal backing 

A draft legislative instrument is almost ready to give a legal backing to the National Sanitation Day exercise.  

When fully passed, it will be a punishable offence for any citizen to refuse to take part in the exercise. 

A Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, disclosed this in an interview with Radio Ghana after today`s exercise which focused on the Central Region. 

Nii Lante Vanderpuye described patronage in the Central Region as impressive.
