Verification will disenfranchise many voters - EC The Electoral Commission (EC) says it will be difficult for it to enforce the electoral provision that mandates voters to verify their identity before voting, often referred to as " No verification No vote" system. The Commission said the right of voters to exercise their franchise should not be premised on any device that strictly verifies their identity before voting. The development according to the Commission could disenfranchise many legitimate voters who through no fault of theirs get rejected by the device. The Greater Accra EC Chairman, Alexander Poku-Akubia, made this known at a sensitization workshop in Accra on the upcoming District level elections. GBC
