Master Plan to manage Ghana's increasing waste challenges developed

The Ministry of the Environment,Science, Technology and Innovation in partnership with Plastics Companies is developing a master plan to manage Ghana's increasing waste challenges.

The Sector Minister Mahama Ayariga stated this at a media training on Green Economy for Environmental Journalists at Dodowa in the Eastern region.

Mr. Ayariga disclosed that as part of the plan, dustbins will be placed at strategic locations such as in front of shops, hotels and market places for the public to use.

And, about two thousand enforcement officers will be recruited country wide to ensure compliance.
