PURC directs GRIDCO to defer major replacement exercise

The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission, PURC has directed GRIDCO to defer forthwith the intended major replacement exercise scheduled for completion by July 2016.

The PURC noted that the exercise is going to bring about further interruptions which will worsen the current load shedding.

The commission has consequently asked GRIDCO to furnish PURC the Commission with the schedule of works and planned completion dates for maintenance of the Transmission Network Infrastructure.
