Minister regrets Ghana's inability to meet 2015 MDG deadline on reducing child mortality The Minister of Health, Alex Segbefia says it is regrettable that Ghana cannot meet 2015 MDG deadline on Reducing Child Mortality. He said what is more worrying is that 30 percent of the deaths are premature deaths which are preventable. The Minister who said this at a forum for Newborns in Accra charged stakeholders in the health sector to redouble their efforts to accelerate the decline in childhood deaths. Also strategies and action plan must be put in place to give a good start to pre-term and low birth weight among babies who are vulnerable. GBC
