Need to celebrate successful Ghanaians for selfless dedication stressed

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has reiterated the need to celebrate Ghanaians who chalked up successes in their fields of endeavour through sacrifice and selflessness.  

He said this will serve as motivation for others to emulate them.  

Vice President Amissah-Arthur said this when the National Executives of the Ghana Registered Nurses Association informed him of its upcoming inaugural lecture to honour one of its own, Dr Docia Kisseih on Thursday. 

The Docea Kisseih lecture is one of the measures outlined by the Ghana Registered Nurses Association to honour outstanding nurses and to encourage the up and coming ones to give of  their best. 

Vice President Amissah-Arthur said the time has come for Ghanaians to think of what they can do for the country and not always what the country must do for them. 

The  President of Ghana Registered Nurses Association, Kwaku Asante Krobea said feedback on the conduct of nurses is not encouraging and, there is, therefore, the need to reverse the trend, hence the Docea Kisseih Lectures. 

The inaugural lecture will be delivered by a veteran Ghanaian nurse, who is also the President of the Royal College of Nursing, based in the UK, Cecilia Anim.  

Dr. Docea Kisseih was the first President of the Ghana Registered Nurses Association.
