Self-styled medical doctor jailed 12 years by Accra Circuit Court

A self-styled medical doctor Kofi Agyemang-Duah who defrauded some traders at the Kantamanto market in Accra has been jailed 12 years by an Accra Circuit Court.

Agyemang-Duah collected five thousand cedis from each of the four complainants under the pretext of helping them medically to overcome their infertility problem.

The convict told the complainants that he was a Gynaecologist at Lister Hospital in Accra. He further administered some drugs on them and also gave them injections.

Agyemang-Duah carried on with his nefarious activity for some months before his arrest in January last year.

During a search of his room, some medical equipment, medicines and laboratory reports of the complainants and other victims were retrieved.
