Arrears of junior doctors to be paid on Wednesday

Striking junior doctors have agreed to call off the picketing of the Controller and Accountant General Department following assurance by the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Haruna Iddrisu that their salary arrears will be paid by Wednesday. 

The doctors this morning besieged the offices of the Accountant General's Department to carry out their threat. 

After a meeting with the doctors, the Employment and Labour relations Minister told journalists that government will solve their outstanding salary arrears issues once and for all.

Meanwhile, the doctors have accepted the assurance from the Minister.
