Parliament approves GH¢865m supplementary budget Parliament has approved eight hundred and sixty five million cedis as supplementary estimates to be used by government for its activities for the rest of the year. Since the approval of the 2015 budget, Ghana's economy has experienced some pressures which have affected the projections in the November 2014 budget. The Minister of Finance therefore sought the go ahead of Parliament for government to withdraw from the consolidated fund and other funds to finance its expenditure for this year. The Chairman of the Finance Committee of Parliament, James Avedzi said, after careful consideration of government's proposal, it has become imperative for parliament to approve the supplementary estimates.
