Over 99,000 households to benefit from LEAP Programme The 37th manual and 11th e-payment cycle of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty, LEAP programme, comes off from tomorrow to Friday, the 24th of this month. A statement signed by the Communications advisor of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Abraham Asare, says ninety thousand, seven hundred and eighty five (90,785) beneficiary households in 144 districts are expected to be paid their benefits. The statement says one member household will receive 48 Cedis while households with two eligible members will receive 60 Cedis. Households with three eligible beneficiaries will receive 72 Ghana Cedis, while those with four eligible beneficiaries or more will be given 90 Ghana Cedis. The payments cover the months of May and June, 2015. It says officials of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection and the Department of Social Welfare will monitor the payments during the period. The statement says victims of the June 3 flood and fire disaster will start receiving their cash transfers under the 3.9 million Ghana cedi emergency LEAP programme from Friday. GBC
