Women often face abuse during childbirth – Study 

A new study suggests that women at childbirth face physical and verbal abuse, neglect and discrimination largely due to health system failures. 

The study conducted by the Johns' Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the US said, every woman has the right to the highest attainable standard of healthcare which include the right to dignity and respectful healthcare throughout pregnancy and childbirth as well as the right to be free from violence and discrimination.
