Two prisoners on the loose

Two prisoners are on the loose and the Ghana Prisons Service wants assistance to arrest them. 

The two who were serving sentences at the Amanfrom Camp Prison near Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region are said to have escaped on Friday July 10.

Prison officers are investigating how the two managed to escape. Their names are yet to be made public. 

The two are said to have escaped while working with their colleagues on a vegetable farm.

According to the Assistant Regional Prisons PRO, George Owusu, no one knows how the prisoners managed to escape, but added that a search party is working around the clock and any officer found culpable will be brought to book.
