GBC's Ibrahim Kwarteng conferred as "Ambassador Extraordinaire" by Ghana Prisons The Ghana Prisons Service Council has conferred the title, "Ambassador Extraordinaire" on Gbc Radio's Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng and Joy Fm's Seth Kwame Boateng for their dedication in projecting the welfare of prisoners and the deplorable Prison conditions across the country. In conferring the honour, the President, John Dramani Mahama who was moved on the night by Mr Kwarteng's latest documentary on prison conditions' A NEGLECTED POTENTIAL' promised to send his finance minister, Seth Tekper along with him to the Nsawam Prisons to see at first hand, the deplorable living conditions to enable him push for a higher budgetary allocation for the Prisons Service. The occasion was also used to launch the Project 'Efiase' and the ten year development plan of the Ghana Prisons Service. Gbc's George Sappor and Abdul Hayyi Moomen were also unveiled among other ambassadors to use their platforms to tell the story of the Prisons. GBC
