Ghana National Fire Service calls for media co-operation The Ghana National Fire Service, GNFS, has expressed worry over the practice of media houses going on air with fire out breaks without directly contacting the Service. A statement issued in Accra, said the practice does not help the Service in facilitating quick reaction to such accidents. It said the GNFS's inability to monitor these media houses nationwide results in the service receiving such information late. The GNFS therefore appeals to media houses to communicate such fire outbreaks directly to its Accra and Regional Fire Stations on the Emergency Number - 192 on Vodafone, MTN, TIGO or Airtel networks.
